ISOGrab consists of two primary elements, an AI enabled pdf extraction tool and a Natural Language Processing (NLP) tool. The PDF extraction tool virtually eliminates the manual effort of taking information from PDF engineering drawings. Simply upload your drawings, complete some simple configuration to the software, and download the text information from the drawings to whatever format you may need. COPD affects more than 15 million Americans and is the third leading cause of death by disease in the United States. It is often stated as a driver of lung cancer. The patients have twice the regular risk of lung cancer development. More than 140,000 Americans die of COPD each year. In 2010, the cost of COPD in the US was projected to be approximately US$50 billion, which includes $20 billion in indirect costs and $30 billion in direct health care expenditures. These costs can be expected to continue to rise with this progressive disease. Lower respiratory infections remained the world’s most deadly communicable disease, ranked as the 4th leading cause of death. In 2019 it claimed 2.6 million lives. The BetterLungs solution is to collect patient records to construct an effective, accurate algorithm that can then be harnessed by healthcare institutions to possibly reduce the number of COPD patients who contract lung cancer by evaluating the risk at an early stage. The BetterLungs AI platform will collect patient information and other relevant data from various sources into a data lake. The proprietary machine learning algorithm would then do the processing to allow for detection of more nuanced patterns that may not be evident to human eye. This effective and accurate AI model can be harnessed by clinicians to order early cancer screening for selected COPD patients who are at most risk for developing lung cancer.
