Project Lead and Lead Engineer on Austin’s Affordable Housing Data Hub project. This was an open source project funded by Code for America. It was one of four fellowship projects selected in 2018 by Code for America from across the U.S.The project contained 3 main phases: data integration across multiple government agencies, creation of a data portal to standardize and maintain affordable housing data, and an affordable housing mobile app that allowed residents to search for affordable housing. I was responsible for managing the vision of the solution across several government, academic, and private partners including the City of Austin and Housing Authority of Austin. Our fellowship was selected to present on main stage at Code for America Summit to an audience of over 1000 government officials and civic technologists.

Helped to lead engineering efforts at WriterDuet, a real-time collaborative creativity platform. Among other things, led the creation of an analytics infrastructure that facilitated data-driven decision making and AB testing of new features. Also led efforts to move infrastructure to the AWS cloud that allowed us to implement a scaling technology to serve over 4000 daily users. Onboarded 2 new engineers, and led engineering efforts as we participated in the TechStars Austin 2017 cohort.

Worked on the Online Marketing and Product Analytics team to build internal tools to enable data-driven decision making. These tools included a web application to monitor $100 million in online advertising spend, and a AB testing tool to monitor the roll out of features to over 30 million unique users per month. Founded the first ever Indeed Analytics team with 3 other engineers and data scientists. Helped to grow the team to 50 people through mentorship and hiring.

Co-founder of property management software startup. Helped to raise 500k in seed funding. Managed a team of 3 engineers and 1 designer. Responsible for project management, database architecture, design reviews, code reviews, and ensuring client success.
