Who do I have to thank for my career in advertising? A copywriter.As a young, impressionable college student, I was inspired by a copywriting adjunct professor who walked into class every day fresh from the Motorola office with insights from behind the scenes of their extensive marketing department. The clean intersection of creativity and strategy within his day-to-day duties is what originally set the hook. My personal strength: is relationship building. Learning about new markets and opportunities for both Devise Agency and our clients is what really gets me out of bed every morning. There’s never enough time in the day to learn enough about the technical specifications of high-end cinematography lenses or cutting-edge athletic footwear technology. I love it. It was a challenge surviving the transition from the client side to the agency side, but nothing could have quite prepared me for endeavoring to start Blue Collar Agency.
