Established first of its kind FHIR testing tool “Inferno” and the FHIR-endpoint-monitoring service “Lantern”.Launched efforts serving the Deputy Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services to address the Executive Order “Improving Price and Quality Transparency in American Healthcare to Put Patients First”. Guided senior leadership vision to coordinate a Health Quality Roadmap to align and improve reporting on data and quality measures across federal health programs under HHS, VA, and DoD.

Included the development of new software tools to aid in the identification, curation, and dissemination of Clinical Decision Support rules through an online repository of knowledge and a web-based authoring tool.

Responsible for the execution and direction of the "Cypress" project serving the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology. Cypess was the rigorous and repeatable tool used for testing Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and EHR modules for certification of the Meaningful Use Clinical Quality Measures. Since January 2013, Cypress has served as the official testing and certification tool for the 2014 EHR certification program for the United States Department of Health and Human Services.

Mr. McCready was the technical lead of MITRE's web profiling service that collected and categorized web activity for over two thousand MITRE employees. Mr. McCready applied data mining techniques on harvested data to assess IT funding for internal web sites. This work assisted in the establishment of MITRE's employee privacy policy. Mr. McCready was a software developer for the Java instrumentation API, JOSIT. This API provides instrumentation of user interfaces written in the Java programming language without modification of source code. Mr. McCready was a software developer on a Knowledge Management research project for creating an automated achievement system to nominate employees for incentive rewards based upon peer recognition.
