For most of my time at Protel the position was based around sales and technical pre and post sales support for a wide range of professional audio products. This included the ability to competently design, sell, install and support complete audio productions systems. It was a national role in that my client base was New Zealand wide and as the manager of Protel’s audio division, I worked to support the audio sales engineers in both the Auckland and Wellington offices. I developed and grew the audio division over the years by successfully negotiating and adding many new brands to our portfolio. I originally worked front-line sales but as the company grew in both turnover and staff, my role became more focused on sales management, marketing, key account management and supplier relations. Industries I have extensive experience in include: Film and TV production and post-production, live sound, broadcast, music creation technology and recording.

Audiophile amplifier manufacture. Quality control, PCB assembly, final assembly and soak testing. Manage a small staff and evolve procedures and protocols. Service and post-sales warranty support. Design and installation of audio recording studios.

Setup and operate live sound PA systems for touring bands. Roadie / Loader for various international touring acts. Installation of custom electronic video and audio systems for studios.

Completed time as an electrical apprentice and qualified as a Registered Electrician with Advanced Trade Certificate in Industrial Electronics. Worked in various applications including; new homes, alterations, appliance servicing, commercial building and industrial maintenance.
