Technology is my passion. I believe it is one of the few fields that can impact people’s lives every day in both big and small ways. It changes at lightning speed and that speed is addictive. I’ve participated in the evolution of technology from many different positions – sales, marketing, operations, engineering – but always come back to the same goal: to build technology that shapes the future in a positive way for all.Perspective is one of my favorite words. Having a broad set of jobs throughout my career gives me perspective to solve problems from multiple angles. I have traveled extensively and lived overseas for more than 10 years. Pausing to listen and really hear when people talk provides a different point of view. Perspective.People are at the core. I have led large and small teams. It is not the number of people you lead, but what you achieve together. My goal in any organization is to lead a diverse set of individuals who work together based on trust, collaboration, and aligned goals. I have a long track record of leading and growing teams, giving them space to learn, create, and fail, and in the end winning together.Today I lead the Mixed Reality team at Microsoft. We define, design, build and ship mixed reality devices which augment the real world through custom experiences and hardware to enable people to achieve more. Specifically, we build and support HoloLens for commercial customers and the Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS) for the US Army. I am lucky – I love what I do.
