Global Ties(Teams In Engineering Service) At Ucsd , Project Diabeatit
As described by Global Ties, Diabeatit is a health education application on Android, featuring three interactive mini-games. The current prototype is a working video game on Android tablets that follows the life of a young character, named Zac, with a relatable lifestyle, as he makes everyday decisions that can affect his risk for developing type 2 Diabetes. The game is designed to engage children ages 8-13 in making improvements to their health behavior by allowing users to make decisions for Zac in eating habits and other actions. The goal is to create a hands-on experience for kids, and we plan to implement Diabeatit beyond apps on personal devices, to implementation as semi-permanent fixtures in public spaces, such as schools and waiting rooms of clinics and doctor’s offices. As the leader of the tech sub-team of winter quarter in 2019, my contributions mainly included to come up with goals along with the tech members in order to improve the quality of the existing prototype. A few of the achieved goals using C# and Unity are as the following:1. Refactored and debugged the game prototype2. Developed new features such as animated visual effects for different scenes of the game3. Set future goals and potential features for the next team along with providing them with a continuity report for the project.

Developer Of Ucsdschedule Application
Scheduling classes at UC San Diego on WebReg is time consuming. Students are required to alternate between comparing different professors and classes on CAPE and RateMyProfessors to make an informed decision for their scheduling. Furthermore, even with all this comparison, the actual scheduling can lead to problems as scheduling conflicts can make selecting certain sections impossible. Many students also consider their personal preferences when selecting a schedule, such as not wanting to wake up before a time or not having many gaps in their schedule. With all these different factors playing into their scheduling decisions, scheduling can lead to many headaches for student. UCSDSchedule simplifies this process by generate a no-conflict schedule with a selectable optimization and consolidates CAPE and RateMyProfessors data in a convenient, readable format for the user to view next to their schedule. As the lead of QA in this project my contributions mainly lied in applying continuous integration to our workflow, design and implementation of test plans and test cases, data scraping from websites such as Ratemyprofessors.com and CAPE, and finally intensive testing and debugging. We worked under Agile development principles in this project.
Global Ties(Teams In Engineering Service) At Ucsd , Cruz Roja- Tijuana Project
Our team was developing software that would improve the communication between dispatchers, ambulance drivers, and hospital employees. We were providing an interface between dispatch and ambulance drivers while simultaneously using real time information to improve the time to transport high priority patients to hospitals. Our interface would help the Cruz Roja determine optimal placement of ambulances, improve arrival times, and analyze the effect that changes to the EMS system have on efficient response. We worked within four sub-teams and I was the leader of the visualization sub-team. The goal of our sub-team was to develop a visual representation for the statistics, locations of the ambulances, ETAs etc. on an interactive map on our client's website.By the end of the quarter we built a map capable of pulling various data from the database such as locations and displaying them on the website. This was a starting point for the next team in the following quarter to develop more features for the map.
