As the Unit 2 lead I was tasked with oversight of a team of field engineers responsible for the construction of the project Critical Path area of the reinforced concrete portion of the Unit 2 shield wall.Under my leadership the Unit 3 team oversaw the placement of >5,000 CY of Safety-Related concrete and set the first major structural module within Unit 3 - CA04 - while maintaining schedule adherence. I developed and implemented plans in several areas to correct deficiencies and mitigate future delays, including concrete placement quality and sequencing of work that interacts with neighboring structures.In all roles I was responsible for quality of construction to ensure that Safety-Related and non-Safety-Related structures were constructed per design. In addition, I performed evaluations and identified areas for improvement, optimizations, and sequencing of work and process improvements. -

Primary responsibilities included production of design change requests, temporary alterations, and engineering input and oversight. Secondary responsibilities included continued ownership of Cranes and Rigging (including NUREG-0612, Control of Heavy Loads), representing Watts Bar and Engineering at Nuclear Regulatory Commission meetings related to flood mode, and support of IBM Cognos reports. Completed a Pressurized Water Reactor Senior Reactor Operator Certification in May 2013, conducted at the TVA Sequoyah Nuclear Plant.In an interim role, developed a new site external flood protection program including procedures, inspection requirements, and acceptance criteria to ensure that the site remains in compliance with regulatory requirements, the plant design basis, and ensuring compliance with post-Fukushima regulatory orders. -

This was evidenced by engineering CAP program health improving from consistently poor performance at Yellow and Red to the best sustainable performance in the previous decade at White to Green with continuous improvement. -
