Joined Ballast at their Winchester office as a Managing Surveyor.The projects that I was involved in ranged from PFI Projects, Commercial Design & Build, Traditional and EEC Target Cost.Main responsibilities were to ensure that projects deliver the results that have been forecasted, validity of project forecasts, compilation of all monthly financial reports and the accuracy of the reports. This is along with the general duties of a Managing Quantity Surveyor working within a region turning over £50 Million pa.

McNicholas Plc (Construction) joined them as Senior Surveyor / Managing Surveyor.Started as a Senior Surveyor overseeing 3 projects on the South Coast, during the construction phase of these projects I was then promoted to the position of Managing Surveyor. I oversaw circa £25 Million of pro-jects, primarily in the Commercial Developers market (Design & Build) and MOD Projects. I was also involved in pre tender negotiations with clients, and was one of a team who negotiated and deliv-ered a £12.3M Design Build Project for the MOD on the NEC partnering contract.
