We have represented clients from both the public and private sector, Main Building Contractors, PQS Practices, developers and sub contractors in projects ranging from £50,000 to £50M.I am an experienced Quantity Surveyor, with a background of work in the UK and abroad. Joined Ballast at their Winchester office as a Managing Surveyor.The projects that I was involved in ranged from PFI Projects, Commercial Design & Build, Traditional and EEC Target Cost.Main responsibilities were to ensure that projects deliver the results that have been forecasted, validity of project forecasts, compilation of all monthly financial reports and the accuracy of the reports. This is along with the general duties of a Managing Quantity Surveyor working within a region turning over £50 Million pa.

McNicholas Plc (Construction) joined them as Senior Surveyor / Managing Surveyor.Started as a Senior Surveyor overseeing 3 projects on the South Coast, during the construction phase of these projects I was then promoted to the position of Managing Surveyor. I oversaw circa £25 Million of pro-jects, primarily in the Commercial Developers market (Design & Build) and MOD Projects. I was also involved in pre tender negotiations with clients, and was one of a team who negotiated and deliv-ered a £12.3M Design Build Project for the MOD on the NEC partnering contract.

Senior Projects SurveyorIn complete commercial control as well as jointly accountable for the management of the projects. This re-sulted in the running of surveying teams up to 8 members of staff, as well as running projects on my own. Birse ran all their sites completely autonomously so the role of Agent and QS were very important, and ran sites as profit centre teams.Projects completed at Birse• £7M EEC Option A Sewage Treatment Works, Bridport• £5M D&B MOD Project at Yeovilton.• £9M D&B MOD Project at Warminster Barracks• £5M D&B MOD Project at Portsmouth, refurbishment of existing Ward Room.• £2m Traditional build school.During my time at Birse I also was promoted to the position of Business Development Manager, running a team responsible for securing work for a £35M region. I held the position for one year before deciding to re-turn to the commercial side of the business

Project SurveyorI joined Lovell as an assistant surveyor, quickly progressing to the role of Project Surveyor. During my ca-reer with Lovell’s, were I carried out a majority of my training, I was involved in the following contracts.• A 10 storey reinforced concrete frame block of luxury flats, value £11.6M• A £6M housing development with 70 different units.• An M&E Office partition contract for an analytical laboratory.
