• Manages all operational aspects of the Epic implementation and provides strategic direction and overall management of the Epic implementation. • Accountable to the Executive Committee and the Executive Sponsors for successfully delivering a program with no interruptions for patients, physicians, stakeholders and cash flow. • Co-chairs the Project Leadership Team with the IT Project Director. • Working collaboratively with the IT Project Director, the Operational Project Director is co-responsible for the day-to-day administration of the implementation, providing leadership across all work threads, and overall project planning. • Co-responsible for the coordinating and providing directors to complete the assigned project team tasks, producing the required deliverables, tracking and resolving issues, and meeting the relevant project milestones. • Conducts the risk review process, focusing on the operational elements, verifying that the project is meeting the needs and expectations of stakeholders, and ensuring that the project is adhering to standards.

• Provides strategic planning for the pharmacy enterprise• Designs, manages and improves the medication use system ensuring quality outcomes through performance-improvement activities• Provide oversight and management of the pharmaceutical supply chain• Works with enterprise leadership in managing hospital based pharmacies, retail pharmacy division, mail order, home infusion and specialty pharmacy operations.• Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.• Fulfills the organization’s research and educational missions• Leverages technology and automated systems to optimize the medication-use system• Ensures that information systems and technology used in pharmacy and patient care environments maximizes the safety, effectiveness, and efficiency of medication prescribing, dispensing, and administration• Provides leadership at the health system level regarding planning, purchasing, implementing, and maintaining information systems that support patient care.• Responsible for all pharmaceutical contracting, procurement, receiving, security, inventory control, diversion prevention, and distribution policies as well as waste disposal.• Manages the pharmacy enterprise financial performance• Responsible for the proper administration and ongoing performance of the 340B program assuring that it meets all regulatory requirements• Manages the health system pharmacy enterprise human resource efforts ensuring appropriate staff complement and deployment
