I love numbers and always have since I was young, but what I love more is to use numbers to solve business problems and drive growth. The problems and answers are usually in the numbers and by extracting those storylines from the data and presenting them in a compelling way business insights emerge, and decision making improves. I have been leading global finance teams for many years at the ground level of revenue generation and at the corporate level. These teams have been scattered across the globe in many time zones and cultures. In this I have learned that diversity unlocks exceptional value. Data is a beautiful thing. There are so many things you can do with it to solve problems. I have spent extensive time aggregating, forecasting, modeling, analyzing and pricing with it. I have also immersed myself in data visualization software like Power BI to visually capture the stories that need to be told. My personal philosophy is to be exceptional at my day job with 85% of my time and use the remaining 15% to challenge norms, bring new ideas, innovate with technology, and ultimately drive additional value to the firm.
