Managing the scheduling of automated jobs by using Redwood RunMyJobs cloud based platform , creating new job schedules as and when requested by the various departments. RMJ is used for the scheduling of the SQL snap database restores , using Powershell in the main.Responsible for the migration of over 600 job chains from a 'On Premise' Cronacle platform to a new Cloud based RMJ platform , this was successfully completed on time. Weekend shift checks on a rota system making sure key systems are available. Also running a bespoke EDI Linux /Redhat platform to transit Motor , HH and CV policies out to the insurers and renewals out to Swintons 300 + branches.Data Centre management, provisioning power, space and rack management for new and existing kit. Managing around 30 department servers, which ranged from Novell servers to NT and Windows 2000 as well as several SCO Unix platforms. Working 2 alternating shift patterns (0700-1530 and 1500-2230) in a team of four in order to run nightly batchwork on a NUMA System which ran on Dynix software (Unix based with Oracle databases) for the insurance Accounts and Finance departments. Provided support to the Swinton Branch Network as well as Swinton Manchester Head Office and Central Telesales Office in Stockport. Supporting various core systems and applications on PC's , laptops , SCO Unix servers , printers , dumb terminals , Microsoft Windows platforms and Novell .

Working within the Branch support team, I supported the hardware infrastructure for 700+ branches and approx. 4000 users, supporting the SCO/UNIX Operating system, Wyse 60 terminals, Laser and Dot Matrix Printers as well as working on a 3 shift pattern IBM HDS7000 running overnight batch jobs. Also managing the day to day running of a D70 IBM AS/400 to administer the Motor Cover Centre.
