In this role, I help The Phoenix to recruit and hire people who have a strong passion for our mission, the right skills for the job, and the cultural competency to work with and on behalf of individuals in recovery from substance use disorder. I recruit for all positions within the organization, including C-level positions, regional and local directors.

As Senior Climbing Instructor, I work directly with our Team Members, who are able to participate in our free community programs as soon as they have 48 hours of sobriety. Many are newly sober and often anxious about new activities (especially those that take them 50 feet off the ground!). It's my responsibility to ensure that our Climbing Program events.

For my first several years at The Phoenix, I held a many administrative and management roles in addition to my role as an Instructor. These included writing and editing grants, proofreading and editing important written correspondence, and co-managing the Colorado chapter of The Phoenix.
