These youths were aged under 18 and were unable to have parents or guardians attend to support them, whilst they were being interviewed for issues that were in conflict with the law. Unfortunately, the exceptional hospital facilities that evolved during my tenure were soon after closed down by the Minister for Health, and relocated to the Kingston Centre in Cheltenham. The Hampton site was then sold to developers.
