    Both management and construction of the applications were carried out by one team. Since this often caused problems in planning, it was decided to disconnect the maintenance from the development of the applications. Mr. Brommer was engaged in some parts of this project: maintenance was organized in such a way that two teams (maintenance and development) could cooperate properly; some bottlenecks as to performance of the applications were analyzed and solved, problems with connections to external systems such as RDW and GIM (intermediary applications) were solved in a way that in the future they will be discovered sooner and will be easier to solve.

    During the "Copernicus" project some problems were recognized and proposals made to improve .Net Framework. In this stage of the project it was decided to solve these problems within a separate iterative project in a new version of the .Net Framework. In this project the FASE methodology was applied. FASE is a development methodology of Fortis based on RUP.With this restructured .Net Framework applications could be developed for Fortis so that one or more insurance contracts could be concluded. In this Framework Microsoft .Net 2.0, C#, Ajax and Enterprise Library 2.0 were applied.Mr. Brommer was one of the Application architects for this project.In order to verify the objectives, the restructured framework was implemented in one of the applications (Pilot). At the end of this project the restructured framework was realized within time and budget.
