Project managing the improvement of data management and reporting within the GCF.Organising the project into digestible parts, I introduced important standard practices bringing about tangible successes and designed a pathway for the organisation to receive, manage and report on their data in a compliant way with increased capability.

Lead project manager for the Contract Management Capability Programme.The Programme sits on Government's Major Projects Portfolio and targets the identification, training and assessment of all Contract Managers across central government by March 2023.The range of capability-improving services provided by the programme aims to deliver appropriate and comprehensive training and recognised accreditation to a population previously inconsistently supported.I project managed the virtualisation and delivery of all learning and assessment products ahead of a full-scale rollout, moving away from face-to-face delivery and introducing scalability with self-service attendance management.CMCP delivered training and/or accreditation to over 30,000 people across central and wider government bodies, successfully identifying key contracts and their contract managers in government.

Responsibilities include: - Leading on the development, configuration and implementation of systems for the Government Commercial Organisation (GCO). - Liaising with Government Shared Services, programme directors and suppliers. - Ensuring Data gathering activities progress and are quality assured. - Developing a communications plan and products that will ensure engagement and promote business change prior to launch. - Facilitating change and end user adoption of the new system through communication and training, ensuring that users are ready and willing to adopt the Workday Service upon deployment of the new system. - Identifying subject matter experts for configuration, testing and customer confirmation sessions. Approve final configurations for build. Securing timely inputs from SMEs and ensuring appropriate turn around times for required inputs. - Develop mechanisms for monitoring uptake, securing feedback and ensuring continuous improvement. - Identify and develop reporting requirements for the GCO, ensuring systems become a single source of the truth for the organisation.

An extremely challenging role with time and political sensitivities.I led PMO-related activities in the setup and management of a buying team to respond to the COVID-19 crisis. Aspects of reporting, risk management, communications and introducing enabling systems supported the effective creation and delivery of a temporary buying team focused on securing personal protective equipment for the entire public sector.Within the first few days a buying organisation was established to manage incoming supplier offers, triage, technical assessment, deal proposals, hand-offs to a procurement function, and contract management of inbound stock. At its peak, the organisation comprised approximately 500+ personnel from multiple government departments, as well as external advisory support.By week fourteen, 2 billion items of PPE had been delivered to the front-line.

Project lead of the successful Workday implementation to the Government Commercial Organisation.Responsible for the building, testing, implementation and communications for new HR system to employer of 1000+ staff.

The Commercial Assessment & Development Centre (ADC) was originally established as part of a broader programme of initiatives, designed to build commercial capability in central government. The success of both the ADC and the wider programme over the last 2 years has resulted in an expanded remit for the commercial capability programme, extending the services of the ADC to cover lower grades in central government departments, staff and new recruits in Arms Length Bodies as well as non-commercial contract managers. This increase in scope is expected to result in at least 3 times more candidates attending an ADC over the next 12 months. In this role I project managed the ADC transformation to prepare for the increased demand including overall responsibility the project plan and ensuring deliverables in each of the different workstreams are realised.I also had responsibility for a number of work streams including the IT solution and marketing.Whilst identifying and managing risks and issues across the project I supported the design and development of revised processes, including compliance arrangements in the aim of becoming increasingly digital.In addition my responsibilities include gathering, interpreting and analysing data/information from a variety of sources, operational teams and leaders, data analytics teams, policy, external delivery providers and strategy to ensure sound planning and assumptions to be reflected in our delivery.I oversaw a pilot roll out for the new exercises at all levels as well as for Arms Length Bodies, identifying, tracking and monitoring requirements for wider roll out.Towards the completion of ADC project, focus began to turn to the Contract Management Capability Programme (CMCP).The CMCP was set up to improve the capability of contract managers across government. I project managed the creation of learning materials and assessment process for a pilot that supplied the justification and insights to rollout the programme.

Working with the commercial strand of the cross-government early talent programmes, which form the entry point for the commercial talent pipeline. Solely responsible for the design, implementation and continued delivery of the commercial profession’s early talent through apprenticeships, a programme aiming to raise the commercial capability of staff across central government and the wider public sector. I also sat as chair of the Level 4 Apprenticeship Standard employer group as well as working in the function’s activities of commercial capability strategy.Successfully delivering the role relied on building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide-range of stakeholders, the management of external learning providers and effectively project managing the delivery of an inaugural scheme through to it's completion.
