About Rob Castro
Robert F. Castro is a Professor in the Division of Politics, Administration & Justice at the California State University, Fullerton (CSUF). He holds a BA in Criminology, Law & Society from U.C. Irvine, a Ph.D., in Political Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a J.D. from the UCLA School of Law. At UCLA, he was Editor-in-Chief of the UCLA Chicano-Latino Law Review (now the Chicanx-Latinx Law Review). He was in the inaugural class in the Program in Public Interest Law & Policy (PILP). His work on immigration law & policy, public policy, and the enslavement and captivity of American Indians has been published in several leading journals such as Law & Inequality (Univ. of Minnesota Law School); Journal of Hate Studies (Gonzaga Univ.); Harvard Journal of Hispanic Policy (JFK School of Government); Harvard Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Law Review (Harvard Law School) and forthcoming (with George Max Dery III) in the Harvard Latino Law Review (Harvard Law School).Certified to practice law in the State of New Mexico, the tribal courts of the Nineteen Pueblo Nations, the courts of the Fort Sill, Jicarilla, and Mescalero Apache tribes, the Navajo Nation court system (special credentialing for Arizona and New Mexico regions) and federal courts nationwide.
