60% of my time I'm involved in the Greener Sector element of the Lottery funded Sustainable Sunderland Programme. This has involved the establishment and support of a community buildings network, looking a ways of virtual engagement to address cost / staff time / carbon issues, promoting greater collaboration both at project development and delivery level, increasing awareness to and increasing participation in recycling schemes such as WARP-it. The other 40% is taken up through organisational development (governance, organisational structures, strategic planning, income diversification, staff and volunteer training (accredited and non-accredited), consultation etc

Drafted and implemented the SRBVI community participation strategy. Developed participation mechanisms for local people and managed the Opportunity Block community fund £20k per annum.

Responsible for establishing and developing the 'GATES' project in Grindon, Sunderland. Roles included - project delivery (job search), working with partners to increase the portfolio of services, management of EVH, fundraising, monitoring & evaluation (ESF / ERDF / SRB), development of bespoke ICT / personal development courses.
