The role of Web Consultant consisted of delivering both consultancy and technical solutions to SME's via a number of European Funded projects. The exact nature of the solutions offered were dependent upon the project remit.Consultancy was largely focused upon educating business stakeholders on how to implement online marketing strategies to increase website visibility and gain new clients. The key focus was on advising SME's of the need to consider search engine visibility when developing or redesigning websites whilst also ensuring that the content created was suitable to engage the target audience. In addition to consultancy services I also worked on projects which enabled me to take on a more hands-on role by developing content managed websites for a number of SME's. This was a varied role where skills in web development and graphic design were required to create professional solutions.The key focus of all projects was to assist SME's to take advantage of their online assets to improve their online presence. Consequently I was responsible for delivering regular training seminars focused upon content management skills and optimisation techniques to groups of SME's.
