Since retiring from full-time work I have been working with a number of parliaments, providing support, coaching, training and advice mostly to new research and other services. The parliaments I have worked with include those in Georgia, Pakistan, Armenia, Egypt, the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Afghanistan, Venezuela and Morocco.In 2017 I was a member of the Expert Panel on Assembly Electoral Reform appointed by the Presiding Officer and Commission of the National Assembly for Wales. The panel was tasked with recommendations for the number of Members the Assembly needs, the system by which they should be elected and the minimum voting age for Assembly elections.
