My practice focuses on public finance, in particular tax-exempt and tax-advantage debt financings for governmental and quasi-governmenetal entities. Specically, I serve as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel and disclosure counsel in financing transactions for cities, counties, school districts, economic development corporations, water districts, and special districts. I also advise clients in connection with economic development incentives and financing mechanisms for public/private projects.In addition, I have successfully represented several cities and special districts in expedited declaratory judgment actions ("Bond Validation Lawsuits") filed in response to or in anticipation of certain legal challenges asserted against the clients' proposed issuance of bonds and/or projects to be financed with bond proceeds.I have practiced exclusively in the public finance arena since 1998.

I started my legal career at Naman, Howell, Smith & Lee in Waco, Texas. During my three years at NHS&L, I worked on variety of legal matters, including tax matters, securities matters, litigation defense work and estate planning.
