Oversee Partner Relations department. We recognize, inform, thank and cultivate relationships with our partners. We are developing major gifts and planned giving strategies to include digital and print media tools that will effectively tell the Inspiration Ministries story to our partners. We are currently engaging with passionate partners who are helping us take the gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations by leveraging the latest technology for Him.

Atlanta, Georgia

Oversee all resource development including budgeting, finance, hiring advancement personnel, managing major gifts, planned gifts and gifts in kind. I established the Children's Hunger Fund Legacy Foundation as a supporting organization for all planned giving functions and I concurrently serve as its president. I manage seven direct reports and set the advancement strategy for the organization's president, other executives and regional directors. I personally took donors on vision trips including Thailand, Guatemala and El Salvador to let them experience our international ministry and to engage with our international partners. Wrote a strategic development plan resulting in more high-end donors receiving personal engagement from the president, executives and major gift officers. This plan also resulted in the decentralizing and multiplication of our special events which were replicated as city plans and owned and executed by regional staff. Raised approximately 12M in cash and liquid assets, 1M in planned gifts and endowment through the Foundation and 40M gifts in kind.

Alpharetta, Ga

Oversaw all development functions and personnel. Founded the first team that our organization charged with professional advancement. Hired, trained and supervised the first major gifts department covering the South and West and personally assumed a territory of the North East. Worked with Marketing to design and produce a suite of communication tools including print, video and website integration. After two years focus on marketing and major gifts, I founded NAMB’s first Planned Giving Department. Established partnerships with several foundations, including the National Christian Foundation, to provide us with needed structure and back office support. Contracted with the Sharpe Group to produce a planned giving marketing plan. Increased individual giving by 30%, from $11M to $13.8M. Collaborated with internal and external partners to provide guidance for our Annie Armstrong Campaign that brought $58,400,000 to NAMB.

Wrightsville, Pennsylvania

Responsible for cultivating relationships with planned and major gift donors for ABS. I also solicited corporate and foundational gifts. I was asked to sit on the Gift Acceptance Committee because of my experience with a wide variety of gift vehicles. I was asked to speak before our board about issues of organizational leadership, my area of doctoral study. I adjusted territories to increase and reduce travel costs. ABS employs 20 philanthropic advisors. In my final year there, I was ranked first for planned giving and fourth in overall giving. I was also recognized as first in goal accomplishment. My production was over 1.7M for the 2010-2011 fiscal year. I developed a network of relationships to include the largest citrus grower and the owner of the largest chain of privately held banks in Florida. I befriended the heir of a sports drink company, who now gives to ABS.

Wrightsville, Pennsylvania

Provided major and planned giving service to Wycliffe affiliates, including the Graduate Institute of Applied Linguistics, a Master's Degree granting institute of higher education. I traveled with the president, made appeals and presentations. I then worked with marketing to provide donor stories via newsletters and website. I raised five-figure and six-figure major gifts and up to and including seven-figure planned gifts. I also participated in an annual fund program that used a matching gift strategy to raise funds for our own operating expenses. In my last year, I personally closed on 4.4M (36 gifts). I worked on the quiet phase and public launch of the 1 billion Last Languages Campaign. We were successful in acquiring a single $50M gift needed to launch the public phase of this campaign.
