With over thirty years of human services experience, I have had the privilege of working with diverse communities and populations in need. My extensive background includes three decades in counseling and therapy, where I have honed my skills in individual and group counseling, dialectical behavior therapy, case management, and mindfulness training. My professional journey has taken me through community-based organizations, corrections, and various therapeutic settings. In addition to my work in human services, I had a financial interest and played an active role in a locally owned and operated book shop in Clinton, NJ, from 2003 through 2018. This experience enriched my understanding of small business operations and community engagement.Since the late 1980s, I have been deeply involved in board and government organizations. One of my earliest and most impactful roles was with a grassroots HIV/AIDS service organization that grew into a multi-million dollar non-profit dedicated to supporting those affected by HIV/AIDS. Furthermore, while residing in Pennsylvania, I committed to civic duty by working in every election over a span of 42 years, including 27 years as the Judge of Elections for Lehigh County District 13-1.Currently, I am the Executive Director of the Key West Business Guild, the oldest LGBTQ+ business guild in the nation. In this role, I am dedicated to supporting and advocating for LGBTQ+ businesses, fostering an inclusive and thriving community, and promoting LGBTQ+ travel to Key West, Florida
