Starting as Operations Manager and getting promoted in December 2015. Working for a small but very busy music charity. Over the last five years Readipop has been in a period of consistent growth, with turnover increasing from £78,000 to just under £250,000. Alongside the Creative Director I have supported this growth, through funding bids, operational & project management, and taking projects from planning to delivery.I am currently managing one large scale project and several medium scale projects as well as planning and supporting the delivery of Readipop's regular community bands and workshops. On each of these projects I'm responsible for; writing (or supporting) funding bids, budgeting, staff recruitment & training, planning, ensuring targets are met, problem solving, and reporting to fundraisers.In addition for Readipop I run several events (budgeting, planning, booking artists and stage management), I look after the induction and training of new staff members, write reports and evaluations, and implement evaluative and data collection procedures.

I work freelance as an arts manager and music educator. Delivering a broad range of music making projects for people all over the South East of England.I have worked with a broad range of clients from ranging from schools and youth centres to local borough councils to small independently run voluntary organisations.Currently I lead:- Reading's community ukulele band, The Small Strings,- Rock School for Oxfordshire Youth Arts Partnership- Rock and Music Tech club for SoCo- numerous other one off events and workshops

I formed and ran the band Soul Direction. Together we performed all over the UK at a broad range of private functions, such as weddings, birthday parties and co-orporate events.Left due to other gigging commitments but proud that the band continues to gig regularly with a new M.D.

They support schools and creative practitioners to work with young people as equal partners.

I worked as a Creative Agent, for Creative Junction the area delivery organisation for Creative Partnerships in the Thames Valley, and also for the UK Centre for Carnival Arts in Luton.Creative Agents are the extended team of Creative Partnerships. The role has been established in acknowledgement of the unique and complex nature of schools, to provide an 'independent' perspective and the importance of sustained, supported relationships in ensuring effectiveness and reach. *The role supports the schools budgeting, recruitment, self-evaluation, project planning, delivery, and evaluation, over a sustained period of time.

Working for Slough’s Youth Music Action Zone I was responsible for the day to day management of 20+ out of school hours music making projects for young people in Slough. The role, as in any small organisation, was varied including; devising, programming and budgeting projects; finding, recruiting, contracting and managing artists; evaluating projects, adhering to health and safety and risk assessment and the marketing and recruitment of young people.

Working for the Arts Council England’s flagship education project my main roles and responsibilities were; the day to day management of the office, looking after the budget, managing any temps or freelancers, contracting artists, payment of invoices and managed funds (grants) and preparing financial reports for the Creative Director and Steering Group.During my time at Creative Partnerships I had many opportunities to expand my portfolio of work; I was responsible for training many of the other Operations Managers nation-wide.

Managed and ensured the smooth running of Windsor Arts Centre in the evenings. Coordinated a team of 40+ volunteers, booking rotas, organising volunteer training, stage managing events, looking after cash, locking up and opening up.
