Senior Engineer
CurrentI work in Device Modeling at the IBM's East Fishkill 300mm Fab in NY, where I concentrate on four main focus areasDevice Modeling: • Developed and extracted passive device models including inductors, transformers, metal capacitors, transmission lines, and varactors • Created and developed new BEOL devices in response to customer requirements • Collaborated with internal and external designers on inductor optimization and crosstalk minimization resulting in multiple first time right designs • Delivered models and documentation for inclusion in Process Design Kits • Developed Skill based P-Cells and automation code for creation of custom inductor layouts. Used in test chip designs and for device optimization using E-M simulations Software: • Helped develop and maintain object-oriented characterization and analysis software used by >500 users (DMACS) • Developed Perl modules for direct and web-service based database access, automating time-consuming manual modeling processes • Helped develop a standardized single-source database repository for tracking device performance targets • Developed Matlab-based automated compact model extraction software used by the global inductor modeling team • Created statistical FET characterization software used by FET modeling team to select a coherent set of devices for in-depth characterization and extraction (Median Die Selection)Characterization: • Developed and optimized high frequency calibration and de-embedding techniques • Created test software solutions for complex characterization: quasi-static CV, charge pumping, device parametrics, ring oscillatorTeamwork: • Worked in a global multi-cultural team, including mentoring of co-workers in the US and abroad • led small global technical teams
