• Specialist manager of distressed business customers, overseeing company turnaround to minimise business failures and maximise recovery of the bank’s debt.• Manage 30 customers from a range of industries at different stages of the restructuring process, with total debt of £45m.• Carry out in-depth analysis of the issues facing the customer and use financial and non-financial data to assess business viability, management capability and debt servicing ability.• Agree a turnaround plan with the management team, and assess options for structuring the bank’s facilities to support that plan whilst managing the bank’s risk.• Negotiate the terms of restructures with customers, including ensuring the bank’s return reflects the risk level. Can involve non-standard forms of bank return, such as equity stakes and deferred property-linked fees.• Maintain and develop a network of professionals and industry specialists who can be engaged for formal and informal advice as appropriate.• Present cases quarterly to a panel of senior staff from restructuring teams around the world for discussion and sanction of strategies.
