Updating and maintaining equipment for the Immingham Oil Terminal.

Working on an Outage for the main contractor. Being a Nominated Competent Person under VPI regulations, I currently assist in the upgrade of the efficiecy of the gas available. The electrical side includes all containment, cables and cabinates from all transmitters to the PLC's.

To inspect and certify all lighting and power of a new Acetylene gas plant installation and Atex certify all items. Also to advise on rectifications of all failures.

Associated Petroleum Terminal, Immingham, England. (Total & Conoco).

After an ATEX inspection of the main facility and its associated sites by an external inspector, I was employed to rectify all the defects identified. This work required me to have an understanding of all ‘Hazardous Areas' in terms of Zoning, GAS Groups etc. in order to complete the required remedial works applicable to each defect. I was then responsible for documenting the works such that the ATEX Equipment Database could be updated and maintained.In between completing the ATEX works I also assisted with the installation and commissioning of new projects associated with the Allen Bradley and electrical systems.Also maintenance of MOV's, ESD systems, motors and Cathodic protection systems as well as other general maintenance systems.

Total Lindsey Oil RefineryProjects included general maintenance of plant facilities, new installations for control panels, data cable installation for Emergency phones, office modifications including power and data, sump pump installations, preparation of shut down facilities as well as other projects.
