Supporting and representing patients detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 as amended 2007. Including explanation of relevant legislation and restrictions and making patients aware of legal rights, eg appeal to Tribunal for review of detention under relevant legal criteria. Support and representation of vulnerable adults in various fora within forensic, medium-secure settings.Training Lead involves composition and delivery of training courses to various organisations, professionals and service users. Clients have included Greater Manchester Police, Advocacy and Advice agencies, Hospital Mental Health Trust Legal Administration staff, Ward Staff and Forensic Consultant Psychiatrists.I have management and extensive ongoing supervisory skills which include the supervision of employees and students.
