I deal with most of the day-to-day activities of the construction process with my time focused on subcontract management, cost management, problem solving and training/assisting Project Engineers. On a typical project my role starts with preconstruction, including initial budgets and bidding out the project. Preparing the estimate and project narrative for presentation to the client are common activities. Writing and managing subcontracts along with assisting the project superintendent with managing self-performed work are typical roles for managing the project budget and forecast. Motivation comes from a presenting a quality product to a client that exceeds their complete satisfaction. Complete satisfaction will result in repeat clients and their need for your management skills on future projects.
