Responsible for conducting site inspections to assess compliance. Investigating and resolving environmental complaints including sediment releases. Reviewing and approving drainage applications, permit tracking, and inspection of permitted sites for compliance verification. Issuing remedial orders, corrective actions and providing evidence for enforcement.

Responsible for inspecting all facets of landscape construction in Municipal Reserves, Ecological Reserves, Storm Ponds, and Public Rights of Way. Meeting daily with Developers, Consultants and Contractors to issue approvals or rejections relative to all phases of landscaping, and CCC or FAC applications. Providing constructive feedback and guidance to help identify and resolve landscaping deficiencies. Reviewing and providing comments for proposed landscape design. Maintaining organized and accurate inspection records for a large service area and customer base.

Responsible for reviewing and providing comments for Outline Plans, Tentative Plans, Legal Plans (Linens), Construction Drawings, Development Permits, Land Use Amendments, and Road Closures. Reviewing and issuing approvals for utility alignments, and landscaping within Public Rights of Way. Collaborating with Engineers, Technicians and Project Managers to resolve conflicts relative to utility alignments, landscaping, or encroachments within Public Rights of Way. Assisting with the submission of applications by advising internal and external clients of application format requirements, and guidelines for subdivision servicing and development.

Responsible for developing and revising CADD standards relative to utilities and records management. Instituting and managing specific phases of CADD department workflow. Training CADD Operators on Microstation functionality, drafting technique and design. Providing technical support to SHAW offices in Alberta, BC, and Manitoba. Assisting with quality control and quality analysis. Enhancing and testing Microstation functionality, and data translation initiatives.

Responsible for developing, documenting, and revising standard operating procedures in adherence to client specifications. Training computer operators on CADD and GIS software functionality, data conversion standards, and map interpretation. Instituting and managing all phases of project workflow. Performing data and error analysis. Assisting staff with problem interpretation, problem resolution, and technical issues. Assisting project manager with staff scheduling, delivery timelines, and productivity analysis. Liaising with clients or vendors to resolve data discrepancies, and to ensure adherence to client specifications.
