As acting manager of decision support for MBMC, I directed the review and enhancement of revenue and expense matching which included design and employment of RVU defined costing methodology. Worked in tandem with vendor to coordinate cost studies and establish monthly reviews and quarterly updates. Enhanced decision support system by migrating managed care modeled contract data allowing for improved comparisons of expected to actual reimbursement. Instituted late charge and charge access policies to insure integrity of charge system. Performed procedure, supply and equipment pricing. Restructured CDMs for Endoscopy, Breast Center, Blood Bank, Ultrasound, PET and Cancer Center improving charge capture, compliance and reimbursement. Directed the Finance testing and implementation of Star and feeder system upgrades. Provided the financial guidance and support for establishment of infertility treatment and cardiac interventional physician practices as well as the surgical robotics program at MBMC.
