• Working within BMD’s Pre-Contracts team and responsible for the electrical scope of works for tendered projects- primarily within the water/waste water sectors.• Developing preliminary electrical design documentation for design and construct tenders including I/O schedules, cable schedules, electrical load lists, MCC/MSB SLD’s and general layouts for electrical pricing purposes.• Working collaboratively with electrical sub-contractors for best approach and value engineering for tender submissions in the water/wastewater sector.• Reviewing tender documents for scope of work, contract requirements, form of tender and alternative design options.• Working in a multi-disciplined (civil and mechanical) and collaborative environment to assist in the preparation of project tenders to ensure cohesion and thus completeness of submissions.• Responsible for the preparation of electrical estimates via both electrical sub-contractor engagement and/or first principles methods utilising Expert estimation package.• Utilising strong electrical trade and engineering background to develop and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers and sub-contractors.• Asses the risk and opportunities in the construction of tendered projects.• Preparation of electrical construction program for inclusion in overall tender construction program.• Liaising with construction personnel to consider improvements in methodology and costs.
