Software Support Engineer
Current* Ensuring that all Daily checks for customers are executed and all support ticket raised have been dealt with. * Identify and analyze customer’s site problems, executing or coordinating the fix development or new functionalities in order to solve the problem. * Take ownership of a defined change orders and helping customers with getting the maximum optimisation and throughput from there site. Creating clear documentation of the changes I have implemented and the impact it will have on the site. * Handle support request from all customer, and provide a 24/7 support service for any out of hours problems customer have. Prioritize tickets in order of severity, escalating any issues to the line manager.* Travelling around the UK going on customer sites to training for all new software installations and ensure that end users and super users are fully equipt with the tools and knowledge before project Go Live. * Read and write languages such as Oracle SQL / PLSQL and MSSQL, Also have the ability to use Linux based machines profientley, ability to read basic Java script on newly implemented sites * Database administrator Experience, examining disk space and adding table space is required * Work in a team of software engineers to design and build different add on codes to exisiting sites to make the site run more efficiently.
