Large format print management of print files to ensure they are ready for output on the proper piece of equipment per the customer's requested product. Including cut files, lamination, various media. Maintenance and upkeep of the production area. Keeping inventory of supplies for completing requested projects in a timely fashion. Projects include signage, banners, car wraps, wall murals, event and conference materials. High-paced workflow and tight deadlines for long-term and rush projects. Oversight of files for printing, making corrections and improvements for the process to meet the client's needs. Primary work platform is PC-based utilizing the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite; with intensive usage of Illustrator and Photoshop.

Digital Production Artist in a quick turn-around, deadline orientated Sign Company. Primary work platform is Macintosh-based utilizing the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite; with intensive usage of InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Once client approval is received, time to create print-ready file(s) for out-put on the one of the Seiko Instruments SII M-64's roll-fed printers, or one of several Fuji-Film Acuity Flatbed printers. Other duties include building and repairing Enroute die-cutting path cad files, for an Overhead-Routing system. To create plot-files for our 30" GraphTec Cutting Pro FC 7000-75 vinyl plot-cutter, and support our Silk-Screen department by creating and outputting emulsion dense film positives for the silk-screens.

Primary responsibilities included the creation of production files from customer provided original art files for various uses per customer’s needs. Assembled lamination and mounting of finished product from various printers, or customer provided originals. Provided large-scale museum graphic support services and various support for our in-house museum, as well as selected outside clients. Utilized the following software on a regular basis; The Adobe CS6 creative suite, Quark 8.15, Microsoft Office, Onyx Postershop Rip Software, Cut File, and Win-Plot. Primary workstation is a Macintosh Quad-Core Intel Xeon, and outputted to Epson GS6000 Dry Solvent 64” plotter printer, Summa T-140 50” Plotter-Cutter, Lambda RGB Large format Laser printer, and the various printers in our document center. Other responsibilities included the regular Pre-Press operations for an international recognized publication with strict digital manipulation practices of customer provided original source art. Finished work will be displayed inside and outside of the headquarters, as well as to pre-flight clients files to be sent to outside printers.

Serve as the Mechanical paste-up Artist assembling the final, camera-ready art for a fast paced weekly local newspaper. Other responsibilities include add design and corrections for multiple clients advertising through the newspaper, as well as the weekly generation of regularly featured columns and pagination of the paper. Mediums include Macintosh platforms utilizing OS 9 and Quark X-Press 5.0, and hand cutting and laying of finish art and copy to paste-up boards.

Manage, maintain, and provide Audio-Visual support for internal and external agencies utilizing the United States Geologic Survey’s National Auditorium, Visitor Center’s Auditorium, and four associated conference rooms. Audio-Video systems operated and maintained included, portable and permanently installed LCD projectors, AMX NI-3000 NetLinx Integrated Controller, AMX AXB-TPI/3 Touch Panel Interface, AMX S-15T Touch Panel, Extron Crosspoint Plus Series Switcher with DSVP Shure wireless microphone systems, and other AMX and Creston interfacing and controlling units. Other duties included the maintenance of several freestanding exhibits located through out the Headquarters, and to provide Graphic Design support to Visitors Center as needed. Utilizing a Dell Precision 420 as the primary workstation, and using Adobe Illustrator 10.0, Adobe Photoshop 7.0, Adobe Acrobat 5.0, Adobe InDesign 2.0, Bryce 4.0, Corel Draw 8, Macromedia Flash 4, Macromedia Director 7, and Microsoft Office 2000 to output to a 50” Hewlett Packard plotter printers.

Primary responsibilities include the intense digital manipulation of customer provided original source art, as well as the creation of theme related backgrounds to be used in conjunction with client’s products for Trade Shows and Conventions. Utilizing the following software on a regular basis; Adobe Illustrator 8.0, Adobe Photoshop 4.0, Adobe Freehand 5.0, Bryce 4.0, Kia’s Power Tools 5.0, Corel Draw 8, Quark X-Press 3.32, Microsoft Office 98. Primary workstation was a Macintosh G3 with a UMAX flatbed scanner, and outputted to 50” Encad plotter printers.

Managed four employees and all aspects of running a fast paced and deadline oriented Graphics, Sign, Design, and Silkscreen Department. Management skills included all estimating, purchasing, subcontracting, resource utilization, costing reports, employee training, and lead Designer-Production Artist. Designed and laid-out logos, posters, brochures, sales catalogs, promotional material, graphic intense slide presentations, along with traveling and permanent museum-quality exhibits. Utilizing original art as well as art provided by the client, set text, shot film and prepped and made print ready imagery for large and small format silkscreen for various traveling stand alone exhibits as wells and large scale mobile exhibits for the United States Army’s Recruiting Support Command. Daily operations includes the use and maintenance of a Linotype photo typesetting printer, VGC self-contained stat camera and processor, and a Nu-Arc Sodium Ultraviolet exposure lamp system. Other responsibilities included the operation of various finishing equipment such as a Seal cold press laminator, Gerber vinyl sign plotter, and a CAD driven Over-head router.
