Part-time role developing an athlete load management system to monitor and track the professional cricketers.

During my placement year, I developed and managed a research-based Athlete Load Management System that highlights athletes at an increased risk of injury. Following my placement, I was employed part-time to continue this role during my final-year at Loughborough University.

Undertook a 40-week placement working alongside the Sport Science Practitioners who support the Team Bath athletes through four discipline: physiology, physiotherapy, strength & conditioning and athlete support. I also worked with the Team Bath MCTA Tennis Academy based at the University.Main roles included:- Conducting physiological testing days: collecting data on sprints, various jumping protocols (using a force plate), strength, agility/change of direction and endurance capacity.- Developing and managing an Athlete Load Management System, which can highlight athletes who are potentially at a high risk of injury.- Assisting with Strength & Conditioning sessions for numerous athletes from a variety of sports.- Conducting laboratory testing (mainly VO2max and Wingate protocols) on members of the public and athletes.- Running and organising educational School visits, where the children would experience both lab and field-based testing sessions.- Writing reports based on the results from the lab testing, with training recommendations and advise.- Organising workshops in Sleep research and Self-massage for TASS athletes.- Screening new athletes to highlight strengths and areas for improvement, in order to create an individualised training programme.- Running weekly altitude chamber training sessions.

This role included filming various training drills and developing online plans, which highlighted key coaching points, details and descriptions of the drills and visual aids.
