Delivered ski instruction to UK school children in the Aosta valley in Italy following training and assessment to become a BASI Alpine Level 2 ski instructor.

• Unified management of thermal performance at all Company power stations, by working with performance experts and managers to create a framework for each power station to develop and align their Thermal Performance Strategies against. • Established baseline for home-power station performance by instigating plant performance testing at key points of the year. • Frequently calculated thermal efficiency, technical availability, and commercial availability KPIs, and communicated these to management.• Promoted a performance focused culture among staff by regularly communicating power station's performance by means of informal discussions, weekly and monthly PowerPoint reports, and presenting at team briefs.• Directed station management and operational staff to plant areas of loss by analysing Company's trading data i.e. which trades were performed due to plant failure and which areas of plant caused these.• Immediately identified plant problems by monitoring plant parameters daily, by direct plant observation, control room screen observation, specialist software (PI ProcessBook) and Excel, and liaising with operating staff.• Restored power station output by diagnosing plant problems using handheld test equipment and alerting Station maintenance teams to rectify problems, e.g. use of handheld instruments (pressures, temperatures, velocities) to calculate mass of unwanted air entering condenser.• Enabled Company traders to trade the power station on the wholesale electricity markets by frequently creating and supplying an up-to-date Technical Dataset that represents the capability of the power station as a tradable commodity.• Significantly reduced start-up costs (gas-burn) – an example of quantifying and modelling operational improvements that occur in-year which are translated into the Technical Dataset for onward submission to the trading team.

•Collation and calculation of monthly thermal efficiency, technical and commercial availability KPIs for a fleet of power stations. •Business continuity management – created process map for monthly reporting.•Statistical analysis – e.g. use of Student’s t-test to determine a statistical significance of the difference between the performance of coal train weigh bridges to aid the decision to replace them.
