My role is to coordinate and develop design teams and services across Ringway's Term Services and PFI contracts including: technical leadership; coordinated leadership to Divisional Design Managers; support to Divisional Managers on design related matters; laision with clients, consultants, partners and supply chain to enable the design resources required to be delivered; management of Ringway’s technical services supply chain; and, providing specialist design related input into tender opportunities.

Until recently led Mouchel’s London Network Services Business Unit which constitutes 150 staff in 3 sections: Engineering Services (a specialist Highway Structures and Tunnels Division); a Highways and Transportation Division (working on the London Boroughs of Southwark and Bexley contracts); as well a division which provides Highways Management services for the London Borough of Ealing.Recent key achievements:• Reshaping Mouchel’s London Highways Business to convert the loss of £100k in 2008 into a profit of £900k in 2010. • Winning work for the business through commissions on our existing contracts. • Winning new commissions such as the £1.5M p.a. Transport for London North Area Structures contract.• Developing relationships with key technical suppliers so that Mouchel can add value to what we offer our clients. • Leading the Mouchel team that played a key role in the successful delivery of the refurbishment of the M25 Holmesdale and Bell Common Tunnels.

Over the 3 years Engineering Services consistently bettered their budgeted targets and the division grew from 35 to 65 strong.

Tasks included: bid management; bid writing; commercial reviews; and liaising with prospective clients (from initial fact finding meetings to tender interviews). During this period, Mouchel won long term contracts with the London Boroughs of Southwark, Bexley and Islington.
