I joined Konecranes as a field service technician in 1996 . Servicing and repairing all makes of electric overhead cranes. Working across the South East England in a variety of industries, from steel and papermills, to television studios and theme parks. Working for Konecranes has never been dull.Moving into the site supervisor role in 2004 gave me a solid start to managing colleagues. In 2007 I moved into the office more. Carrying out quoting of repairs and becoming involved in the day to day running of the business. By 2010 I was awarded the position of Field Operations Manager. This made me accountable for the technicians work, ensuring it was completed on time and to a high standard. Building relationships with customers and making sure that they are happy with the services provided has been my favourite part of the job. Since January 2016 I have had the responsibility of managing the South East branch along with the operations role. This has given me the experience of interviewing and hiring of staff, producing monthly reports for the higher mangement, forecasting sales and orders and ensuring these targets are met.
