More than 25 years of experience in the geotechnical engineering profession. I have been in responsible charge of the development, planning, management, and completion of a wide variety of geotechnical projects including roadways, bridges, retaining walls, major earthworks, buildings, slope stability studies, ground improvement projects, stormwater facilities and other special projects such as vibration studies. Clients served include residential, commercial and industrial, specialty geotechnical contractors, and a wide variety of public agencies. I have specialized experience with all aspects of retaining wall analysis, design, and preparation of plans, engineering cost estimates and specifications for both design-bid-build and design-build project delivery methods. I work closely with clients to develop cost-effective alternatives and solutions to complex projects involving both temporary and permanent retaining walls and provide engineering support from conception through construction. I have been project manager and engineer of record for millions of square feet of wall face in the greater northwest. I also have significant experience with design-build transportation projects including development of Geotechnical Baseline and Data Reports, AASHTO LRFD foundation and retaining wall design, Quality Management Plans, efficient comment resolution, agency design negotiation, and development of innovative geotechnical solutions.Specialties: Preparation of plans and specifications for lateral ground support including MSE, soil nailing, soldier pile, gravity, reinforced slopes, landslide stabilization, etc. Soft ground improvement including deep dynamic compaction, stone columns, geo-piers, deep soil mixing, etc.
