I am an engineer and creative thinker possessing a talent for exposing the complexities of the world around me, and applying science and technology to solve practical problems. This has made me a strong thought leader in Data Analytics. I am also experienced in how all mechanics of the technology works. It is my deep understanding of the computer systems and how databases use these resources that often drives the success my projects over the last 30 years. My key goal in any business intelligence project is to find the best solution to the end users requirements. The end user needs to be empowered to take ownership of the solution. I specialize in the Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack and Azure Data Services, but have experience with No-SQL (Hadoop, HiveQL,Neo4j, MongoDB) and newer database technologies (In-Memory, Column-Store, MPP) as well as Azure Cloud Architecture. Specialties: Building systems to sell data as a Product, Cloud based Software as a Service Development, Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse Design and Implementation, Database Performance.
