After several different businesses, work in Corporate Security and Risk Management, a time spent as a natural therapist (Deep Tissue Massage and Bowen Therapy) I moved on to start a new venture in October 2010. Here To There Coaches. The initial concept of Here To There was to simply work for myself, have an easy life, and run passengers to and from their destinations in a small 9 seat minibus. What happened?? Before long the 9 seat minibus was not big enough, we were getting work for larger groups, so our first 13 passenger minibus was purchased. After an amazingly successful advertising campaign (still don’t know how I did it) we sold close to 900 seats to the Hunter Valley over a several month period, impossible with a 13 passenger bus, so enter our first 21 passenger bus. Fast forward a few years, and we had 3 13 seat and one 21 seat bus, regularly full, and drivers fully occupied. I bought Shuttlz (Airport Shuttle) simply for the client base, for an amazingly good price, and needed to add yet another 13 passenger bus to the fleet. This was followed 18 months later by the acquisition of Galaxy Ground Transport Solutions, which added clients, agency contacts yet another bus to the fleet. This now had us at four 13 passenger buses, two 21 passenger buses, and a 33 seat coach, with more to come. The bigger we got, the harder I worked, the less leisure time and the more 18 hour days, and based on an hourly basis, the less I earned. Enter MUVA, an online booking system to take bookings from clients, and automatically allocate those bookings to an available contractor. Jack Gibbs Enterprises was formed as the parent company for the brands Here To There Coaches, Shuttlz Airport Shuttle, Galaxy Ground Transport Solutions, Toongabbie Bowen Therapy and MUVA. Onward and upward! As Charlie Chaplin once said, “Imagination means nothing without doing” And we are doing heaps!
