My skills, ranging from programme inception to operations, include strategic planning, concept/optioning, business casing, requirements briefing, design & documentation oversight, all forms of contracting, construction delivery and post-handover.My approach to directing programmes is having a strong focus on planning, options analysis, and robust risk analysis and quantification before committing to delivery. With escalating costs of building and infrastructure works, the quality of planning ahead of delivery is critical to maintaining control of costs and timelines. Successful programmes attend to value management and measure performance on how well it enabled change and delivered on service benefits.My professional training is in architecture and a building science. I have 17 years of experience in architectural consultancy, including 5 years as practice principal and manager before making a change to working client-side. My architectural practice work included government, university, banking, and sports sector clients, as well as a number of significant heritage building restoration and adaption projects.
