In this global role I was accountable for the Technology Infrastructure Services provided to RBC Investor & Treasury Services. I worked 50% of my time in Canada, 40% in Luxembourg, and 10% France. I Led an extremely successful Service Improvement Plan with a focus on Operational Excellence. The outcome was a drastic reduction in Major Incidents (15 – 20 per month down to 0 – 1 per month).I also led several projects that improved the Cyber posture.I established a respectful and successful collaborative environment between three organizations resulting in improved service delivery, increased efficiency and effectiveness. All measured through KPIs.Accountable for the technology services RBC contracted from IBM Lux (worked on-site at IBM Lux 50%): All of the Infrastructure (e.g. Hosting, Network, Workplace, Security, Storage, ITSM, SLAs, etc.)Accountable for two RBC Data Centres and associated infrastructure in Paris supporting the Desys application.Drove Operational Excellence for services provided by RBC IT to I&TS.

I established and led the End User Experience Improvement Program. In this program we optimized the end to end solutions provided to RBCs global employees and resolved issues that couldn't be identified by the individual technology teams. We also introduced modern employee focused technology features. I led a Service Improvement Plan for electronic fax services. The Efax service had a high failure rate negatively impacting many business workflows. I restored excellent service, modernized the environment, introduced innovative cloud services and implemented a sustaining plan.I Led the global Operations team for Virtual Desktop, Messaging, and Collaboration Tools.I established a Risk Management and Automation Team. Putting a focus on these critical aspects improved compliance and increased efficiency.I was accountable for RBCs global Print Solutions: Led a Service Improvement Program and reduced costs by 7%.

Responsible for the Architecture and Engineering of RBCs Global Data and Telephony Networks, and Network Security services. This team focused on new technology and solutions. Our mandate included providing solutions for new requirements, documenting repeatable design patterns for global deployment, selecting new vendors and negotiating the associated contracts. From a technology support perspective this was the most senior technical group at RBC accountable for Routing & Switching, IP Telephony, Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention, Advanced Malware mitigation, DDOS Mitigation, DNS/DHCP, Load Balancing, Web Servers, Web Content Management, Remote Access, B2B IPsec, DWDM, Secure Web Gateway, WAN accelerators, High Capacity logging & searching.This group supports solutions as well as technology. For example we’re responsible for the design of the Internet Channel Infrastructure, the Remote worker solution, perimeter security overall, Consolidated Web Server Platform, RBCs Intranets, and Telephony.During this time I was also the Program Manager for 3rd Party Connectivity in a major Data Centre migration.
