Promoted to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) of the Consumer Bank with responsibility for;- identifying new capabilities within the newly introduced Consumer Bank system (Rainbow) that are not fully utilised, and develop bank-wide programs to drive adoption and optimisation,- understanding capability and control gaps to drive any additional investment, - developing a local governance structure and prioritisation model in alignment with Global Demand Management and Release frameworks, - represent the local business as country liaison with the Regional and Global Business Transformation Offices. This included running a Global pilot for a Value Capture program, participating in the development of the Global Business Readiness framework (change management for new Releases on the Rainbow system), and co-leading the Global pilot for the 'Last Mile' program.

Successfully managed the “Rainbow Project”, a AUD105MM Technology and Business Change program from inception in 2011 to implementation in 2014. Responsible for up to 300 local staff involved in project execution, risk governance and management of streams from Initiation (gap analysis and requirements gathering) through to test planning and user and system interface test execution, business and third party support readiness, process/procedure changes, internal and external communication, vendor management, training, planning and execution of cutover activities, and post-production critical care and the transition plan to the post-live production support by the Technology and Infrastructure functions.

Leadership over teams reporting in from offices in India, Malaysia, Hong Kong and China. Key responsibilities included program oversight over; - software Change Management, - independent project governance oversight and quality reviews, - legal and regulatory compliance, external and internal audit coordination (including OCC, and other U.S. Regulators) and,- responsible for the Service Level Agreement program which covered services to 40+ countries in CEEMEA, ASPAC and LATAM.

Responsible for start-up of a Program office as part of the captive software organisation (International Technology Office) to manage the rollout of new Citibank Online platform across Citibank Consumer Bank - EMEA. Key objective was to recruit for and initiate projects to replace legacy Internet Banking systems onto the global strategic Citibank Online platform. Key projects initiated included; Portugal, Sweden/Nordics, Turkey, Greece, Hungary and Russia.

Examples of Projects included in the Change Program include; CitiDirect Online Banking upgrade, Online aggregation and Online Term Deposit Asia pilots.

Start-up of eBusiness team at Citi Australia Consumer Bank. Responsible for initiating many pilots across AP and Citi globally. Highlights included; - leading Australia's 1st mobile banking product (iMode) launched in collaboration with Telstra, local press and presented at AFR Australian Financial Review conference,- business architect and lead responsibility for launch of the Online Cash Manager deposit product (1st online straight-through acquisition deposit channel in Citi globally) with $1bn in deposits raised in 4 months,- designed and development of the pilot online offering of Citi@Work, an innovative development of the existing workplace marketing channel. Held profit centre responsibility for 12 months. This was later exported to a Regional pilot which I co-led,- initiated an outsourcing vendor pilot for online marketing design, content management and web user experience design (Global pilot), - initiation of Search Engine Optimisation, first implementation outside of Citi U.S.(Regional pilot),- driving customer behaviour to allow offload of online transactions from a base of 20% to maximum of 55% by increasing active customer base, driving online forms usage for servicing, introducing eDM tools and importantly growing online acqu/x-sell from a primarily Cards centric basis to include deposit sales and insurance and mortgage leads.- first use of “eye-tracker” customer UX tool at Citi (Regional pilot).

Business Architect and Project Leader for the Citibank Lender System* (CLS) a unique-at-the-time, web-based origination platform allowing online straight-through processing of mortgage acquisition for the Broker channel. The industry standard had hitherto been primarily fax and paper based. The system included mobile (WAP 2) connectivity, 60 second conditional approval (Credit Bureau and internal rules based decisions), Broker portal (loan application status updates and email alert) and a Valuer portal which were built with the collaboration of Optus B2B and iFlex/Oracle. As a result of the successful implementation Robert received Citigroup New York's Global Service Quality Excellence Award and the premier local Quality Recognition Award.*System is still live and used by Citibank Mortgages Australia in 2019/2020.
