Fire Certification

Since joining UL in 2010 as a senior project engineer, my primary role has been to establish UL’s certification services for building materials, within the European market place. I have had extensive involvement with UL International (UK) Ltd gaining its status as both a Notified Body and also an Approval Body within the Fire Resistance sector. As a Firestop Design Engineer, my primary responsibility was to provide technical support to the UK & Ireland Firestop teams, along with HILTI’s specialist Firestop contractors. The role was split between office based work, producing engineering judgements, and also site based surveying work when assisting contractors directly at site level.
