Responsible for the operation, maintenance, management and security of a large scale IP routed network, known as MCCSNet in Camp Butler, Okinawa. Infrastructure systems under direct management include firewalls, proxies, routers, VPN termination, switches, spam/DLP filters, vulnerability scanners, PKI based facility entry security systems, IDS/IPS, VOIP, IP CCTV, VTC, data circuits, and internet access.Designed, configured, and managed the implementation of the network boundary, including hands on configuring of firewalls, proxies, IOS router firewalls, and all other security devices. Maintain in depth knowledge of routing and switching, to include OSPF, EIGRP, VLANS, VPN, DNS/DHCP, MPLS and Ethernet.Designated as the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Officer for MCCS Okinawa, with overall responsibility for network security.
