About Rob Whiteside

My sales career started over 20 years ago in a small Brooklyn warehouse, where a scrappy team sought to launch The L, a new (print!) nightlife publication. In that first year I learned a set of fundamentals that continue to drive me: the thrill of growing a business, the power of a dedicated team, the importance of adaptability, and the critical value of a customer. That year, when I saw how sales made the new possible, got me hooked. From there, I forged a path of roles that led to leadership. Along the way I've discovered & developed a few key strengths, including coaching, crafting sales strategy, and leading through change. To thrive in sales, of course you need the right combination of professional skills, but also you need a love of helping people. And whether as an individual contributor or a team leader, the possibility of making a positive impact on my clients and my teammates has been the biggest driver.
