Barnabas Ministries vision is to see authentic spiritual and relational unity develop between pastors, based upon John 17:23 so that the world will more easily find Jesus. Our mission is to connect pastors and pastoral leaders in John 17:23 pastoral support groups so they are encouraged, inspired and enabled to pursue kingdom ministry together resulting in the world believing that Jesus is Lord and that God loves them. My role is to work with pastors to start John 17:23 pastoral support groups, strengthen existing groups, develop infrastructure to strengthen Barnabas Ministries regions and establish new geographic locations around the world. I coordinate the local Convoy of Hope outreach by developing the local team and sharing the concept of working together to provide a day of hope for the residents of Worcester. I work with the Convoy of Hope Director to follow the neighborhood outreach model used by Convoy of Hope throughout our nation. The Convoy of Hope outreach brings people together so they can share God's love with their neighbors in tangible ways and get people out of poverty.

When the senior pastor leaves, a church has a tendency to want to fill that position rather quickly. As an intentional interim pastor I come in on a short-term basis (12 months is the norm) to walk with the congregation through the transition. We look at 5 focus points to assess where God is leading the church. We focus on connections, leadership, heritage, mission and future. When we're through with the assessment the church will be ready to seek the next long-term pastor because God has prepared them to know what they are looking for because they now know their purpose and direction.
