I was brought onboard to replace the previous System Network Administrator, on the iEHR/PLIS project (inter-operable Electronic Health Record / Provincial Lab Information System) The environment consisted of three production environments, and seven Dev/Test environments. Deployed across three physical locations, utilizing two different cloud providers. The environments were required to support seven health authorities and two partner companies. My primary responsibility was managing service requests, making certain that requests were dispatched to the correct resource, and that the requests were completed according to SLA/SLO agreements. • Administration of CodeBeamer and SVN servers. • Running Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports to ensure SLA/SLO compliance. • Troubleshooting and administration of Solaris systems. • Running firewall analysis reports using Sawmill. • Nessus production system scans. • Onsite technical resource. • Worked directly with Privacy and Security Office (PSO) to ensure that privacy and security requirements were met. • Nagios configuration and administration.

General Electric purchased a startup company specializing in Network/Internet security, and IoT. I was brought on board to assist with bringing their systems and networks from a startup architecture, to an enterprise supported model. At the same time to prepare for moving the entire office with all computing resources to a new facility, under construction at that time.

I was brought into WorldTech Solutions on a contract to improve their IT processes, documentation, and automation of software build/deployment. WorldTech specializes in computer controls for heavy machinery, operating in extreme environments. It was quite challenging designing systems robust enough to function in these environments.Documented all existing systems using MediaWiki.Worked with the software dev team to provide the best possible infrastructure for their needs.Evaluated open source bug tracking software. Recommended Mantis BT, which was deployed.Consulted on design of touch screen interfaces.Created and implemented a password change policy with secure password storage.Developed and deployed an automated test suite using Selenium.Developed a system for staged system updates.Automated the software build and deployment process using Jenkins

During my time at MAKE I have configured, maintained and supported our network. I have improved relations between MAKE and our clients through my efforts to correct any problems they might encounter in a timely manner. I have worked with our developers to ensure that a quality product is delivered to our customers. Provided test builds to QA from the Development team. Delivered product to clients on schedule. Worked weekends and evenings as business requirements dictated.In 2012 Dell acquired Make Technologies, at that time I become a Dell employee. This changed my role a great deal. I spent a most of time integrating the existing Make Technologies infrastructure into the Dell networks. Getting Dells industry standard systems to work with the systems deployed by Make with a strong cost limiting focus, presented some unique challenges. I also managed all IT aspects of closing down a satellite office, and subsequently opening a new satellite office.
