Fault­ tolerant Unix device drivers for software ­based RAID. Created drivers for SCSI disk drives, tape drives, cdroms, and dats. Features included background re­mirroring, hot swapping, system fail over, sector remapping and mirror reboot. Created drivers for Unix SVR3, Unix SVR4, and Unix SVR3/MP. Co­designed and implemented high­ performance algorithm to mirror data over a network.

Designed and developed a real­-time operating system for high­ availability measurement and control systems. Designed and developed operating system for NASA’s Cryogenic Orbital Depot Satellite (COLD­SAT). Developed language and compiler for the field programmable Intelligent Measurement and Control Module (IMCOM). Created device drivers for a variety of interfaces including GPIB, RS232, RS485 and digital field bus. Designed CCD camera, peak­ capturing analog to digital converter and DMA hardware/software for monitoring liquid hydrogen. Implemented PID control software for 20 mA current­ loops as well as voltage based sensors/controllers. Algorithm work on equations of state for natural gas, hydrogen and neon. Algorithms for custody transfer and leak detection. Implemented embedded data compression using SVD.
